I was all smiles when I found out that I had won 1st prize in the National Professional Oil Painters Competition sponsored by American Artist magazine!! The model for this painting I call "Lady Of The Dahlias" is my younger sister Bethany.

The tables got turned on me when Scott Burdick, friend and noted artist, asked me to pose as a portrait model for him during his workshop.

Here I am at one of my art show openings at Mission San Juan Capistrano smiling at the camera, as usual... I guess I'll always love the camera!
